My Therapeutic Lens

Attachment-Focused

We are wired for connection, and our earliest relationships shape how we see ourselves and engage with the world. Understanding them better can help you create healthier, more secure present-day relationships.

Systemic

Your experiences don't exist in isolation. Together we'll consider how family, culture, relationships, and life experiences influence your present.

Mind-Body

Healing isn't only cognitive. We'll pay attention to how your nervous system and body hold stress, emotion, and trauma while creating greater regulation and resilience.

Emotionally Focused Therapy

Individual Therapy

Life doesn't have to be falling apart to benefit from therapy. Here you will find a safe and supportive space to explore personal challenges, gain insight into new patterns of thought and behavior, process emotions, and develop healthier ways of being. Together, we will work toward goals that may include reducing anxiety, living with grief, managing depression, holistic healing from trauma, or fostering personal growth.

You may be seeking therapy if you are...

  • Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or chronic stress that keeps you constantly on edge
  • Carrying grief or loss without the means or space to process it
  • Living with sadness, depression or numbness that leaves you feeling disconnected and hopeless
  • Facing a major life transition that has left you questioning what’s next
  • Drained from burnout or emotional exhaustion as a parent, caregiver, or overworked professional
  • Healing from painful past experiences or trauma
  • Wanting to understand yourself more deeply and create lasting change

Therapy offers a place where you don't have to have everything figured out. Together, we'll make sense of what you're experiencing, understand the patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and build the skills and insight needed to move toward healing and lasting change.

Couples Therapy

Intimate relationships can be great sources of joy, connection, and support— but they can also involve misunderstanding, loneliness and deep pain. Couples counseling provides a structured space to slow down and improve your relationship together. We will work to foster emotional safety, increase awareness and understanding, and build new patterns of relating that strengthen your connection and endure beyond the therapy room.

Couples seek therapy for many reasons, including:

  • Frequent conflict or communication struggles
  • Emotional distance or loss of sexual intimacy
  • Healing after infidelity or broken trust
  • Life transitions (becoming parents or empty nesters; a new career, home or health diagnosis)
  • Navigating differences (parenting, in-laws, financial, religious, cultural)
  • Remarriage and blended families
  • Rebuilding friendship, connection, and security
  • Creating shared goals and dreams
  • Premarital preparation

I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach, to move beyond managing conflict and surface-level problems toward understanding underlying emotions and attachment needs. Together, we'll identify the negative cycle that keeps you feeling stuck, create new ways of responding to one another, and strengthen the emotional bond that allows love, trust, security, and hope to grow.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma can impact all of you: your mind, body, emotions, and relationships. Sometimes the way a past trauma is impacting you might be obvious. Other times, it shows up quietly through low self-worth, difficulty trusting others, relationship struggles, perfectionism, chronic stress, feeling disconnected from yourself, or reacting in ways that don’t make sense to you.

Trauma isn't limited to life-threatening events. It can include experiences over time such as childhood emotional neglect, physical or sexual abuse, loss, accidents, medical treatments, betrayal, relationship wounds, spiritual abuse, bullying, or living through ongoing stress. Though it may feel otherwise right now, you are not defined by what has happened to you. Your mind and body can find healing from past experiences that are still impacting you today.

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced according to your needs. Together, we'll first build a sense of safety and use practical tools to help you feel more grounded. You will never be pushed to talk about experiences before you're ready (and sometimes, you may not need to talk about them at all). Using evidence-based approaches to trauma work, including EMDR and somatic therapies, I work with you to safely process painful experiences, regulate your nervous system, and release patterns of survival that have become "stuck" in your body. As healing unfolds, you can expect less emotional reactivity, greater inner calm, healthier relationships, and a renewed resilience born of a sense of increased safety in your body and agency over your life.

Christian-Informed Therapy

If your Christian faith is an important part of how you experience life's joys, struggles, and healing, it can also be a meaningful part of the therapeutic process. As both a Christian and a therapist with clinical training in evidence-based approaches, I believe emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being are richly connected. At any time, we can incorporate prayer, scripture, spiritual practices, or conversations about your relationship with God as they naturally support your healing and growth.

Your faith will never be assumed or imposed. Instead, we'll tailor therapy to your preferences, integrating your personal faith as much—or as little—as feels right for you. If you've experienced spiritual wounds, doubt, or church hurt, my goal is to provide a safe place to explore those experiences with honesty and tenderness.

Here your Christian faith is an honored and welcome part of the therapy experience.

Why I choose private pay

Working outside of insurance allows me to prioritize what matters most: providing personalized, thoughtful care that is guided by your needs—not insurance requirements.

Insurance companies often dictate aspects of treatment, limit the number and length of sessions, and require a permanent mental health diagnosis on your medical record.

Benefits of private pay include services that are fully tailored to you, greater privacy, and flexible treatment planning. Plus, I am a better therapist when my energy and attention can be entirely focused on you and your therapy experience.

Out-of-Network Benefits

I accept payment at the time of service using HSA, FSA, and credit cards. If you decide that you’d like to seek out-of-network coverage for your care, contact your insurance company to inquire about your plan’s benefits. I can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit. Please note that if you choose this option, you will be required to receive a formal diagnosis to access coverage for your care.

Let's find the right path forward.

Whether you're seeking individual therapy, couples counseling, trauma support, or Christian-informed therapy, I'd be honored to help you determine the best place to begin.
